Asked Questions
How
do I know I can trust your evaluation of my Beanies?
Pbbags.co.uk is equipped with years of research in recognizing
counterfeit Beanies. We are constantly studying the
latest counterfeit techniques in order to provide the highest
level of accuracy for the benefit of the consumer. Our professional
staff has been trained to grade your Beanies based on
strict guidelines to ensure consistent grading standards that
will stand the test of time.
How much does it cost?
Our fees start at only £5, and range up to £10, depending
on the item. Click here for a complete list. Shipping costs
start at £4.99. Complete shipping information
can be found in the Submissions section of our website.
How long does does it take to get my beanies back?
Our service usually takes about 1 week to completion, although
whilst our authenticator is on holiday the process times will
be increased.
What if someone else has previously given me an opinion
and yours turns out to be different?
We are the first company to establish a grading standard for
this market. We have gone to great lengths to establish a
grading scale that encompasses the imperfections found on
Beanies through the years. Our library of research materials,
including an authentication set and compiled data provide
us the tools we need to make an accurate determination of
the authenticity of each Beaniesubmitted to us. Based
on our combined you can be assured the most professional opinion
available.
Will my Beanies be safe after I send them to you?
Once we receive your Beanies, we attach a copy of your
submission form to the package to distinguish it from another.
Our professionals are highly experienced in the handling of
collectibles and use every precaution when evaluating your
Beanies.
How do I know you will be around in 5 years? 10 years?
While we cannot precisely predict the future of the company,
we can assure you that as long as there is a need for our
service, we will be here to provide it. As counterfeits are
weeded out, we look to grading as a great benefit to the serious
collectors in providing the information and documentation
needed to bring them the best price for their items.
If my Beanie is determined to be of questionable
authenticity and/or ungradeable, am I required to pay the
submission fee?
Because the determination to refuse an item requires the evaluation
of our professionals, you will be required to pay for the
service provided. If the Beanie is found to be of questionable
authenticity, a brief explanation of that determination will
be provided.
What is included in the pbbags.co.uk service?
The submission fee includes the unbiased, expert review of
three professional authenticators/graders. Once a determination
is made, the swing tag is enclosed in a clear, acrylic protector.
Your authentic Beanie is then encapsulated in a clear
acrylic box, sealed with voidable labels. Items of questionable
authenticity are packaged in a clear plastic bag, sealed and
stapled. A Certificate of Authenticity, bearing detailed information
regarding the item, including a unique identification code,
is applied to the outside of the box. The package is then
carefully returned to you via your preferred method of shipment.
Check out our Service Comparison Chart for more details about
our service.
What is my next step if you conclude that my Beanie
is not authentic?
pbbags.co.uk does not get involved in disputes that may arise
between a buyer and seller. In addition to grading, the objective
of our service is to provide you an unbiased, professional
opinion that will initially inform you of the authenticity
of your item. Once an item is found to be of questionable
authenticity, it is our advice that you contact the seller
and offer him/her the opportunity to resolve the situation
in an agreeable manner.
How can I confirm the condition of an item that is advertised
as pbbags certified?
If the seller cannot provide a clear photo of the item in
its case and the information on the certificate, you should
ask for the certificate numbers and email us for confirmation
of the condition of the product.
